A look at Long Beach Island, NJ
Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse offers very casual waterfront dining in the heart of Beach Haven
All dining at Polly’s is outside so they haven’t been affected by the Covid-19 restrictions on indoor dining. You need to wear a mask if not at your table.
Polly’s has been a fixture in Beach Haven for decades. You can rent boats, kayaks and paddle boards. You can also purchase fishing and crabbing bait and tackle.
They rent small garveys and boats as well as larger pontoon boats. Check their site for the current rates.
Polly’s offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check out their menu for details.
You can get appetizers, soups, salads and burgers. Of course, you can get fried and sauteed seafood including clams, shrimp and fish.
The atmosphere is rustic seashore with simple benches and picnic tables.
The restaurant is B.Y.O.B so be sure to bring your favorite beverage.
Waterfront dining is surprisingly rare on Long Beach Island. Polly’s has an amazing view where you can catch a sunset. Here the Black Pearl can be seen in the distance coming back after a sunset cruise
Polly’s is definitely a ‘hidden gem’. We had just eaten at Tucker’s rooftop Bouy Bar but we plan to return soon for lunch or dinner.
Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse is located at 112 Northwest Avenue in Beach Haven next to Parker’s Garage.
Call ahead but there should be docking available if you plan on visiting by boat.
