A storm in early October 2022 caused moderate tidal flooding for a few days.

Many people don’t realize that tidal flooding is salt water. If you drive through salt water you should avoid going through the water at any speed as that will splash corrosive sale up into the engine compartment. It would be a good idea to take your vehicle to a car wash with an undercarriage wash.

Also, keep in mind that brakes can fail temporarily after driving through deep water.
