A look at Long Beach Island, NJ
During the 1970’s Sunfish class sailboats were extremely popular in the waters of Long Beach Island. There were clones of the Sunfish boats such as the Scorpion pictured here.
These sailboats were relatively easy to sail. This particular boat belonged to my Uncle, pictured here with my Grandfather.
Sunfish and Sunfish clones can still be seen on the bay.
