UPDATE – July 2020 – Station 117 is offering outdoor dining in “The Garden”. It is well covered outdoor seating.
Station 117 Restaurant and Bar pays homage to the lifesaving stations that once provided protection and refuge for sailors along the coast of Long Beach Island.
UPDATE – 2020 – Due to restrictions on indoor dining, the Show Place is offering outside seating and take out.
The Show Place Ice Cream Parlor is a unique ice cream place with a 1900’s flavor. It is staffed by actors and actresses from the adjacent Surflight Theater.
A storm caused some moderate tidal flooding on LBI. These are some pictures from North Beach Haven
Bistro 14 Oyster Bar and Restaurant is one of the few restaurants on Long Beach Island with a water view. They are located in Bay Village in Beach Haven
Long Beach Island is a low lying barrier island and, as such, is prone to flooding from tides and rain.
The Holiday Snack Bar in Beach Haven was open for outdoor dining and take out as of July 3rd 2020. Seating is limited as is the case for most restaurants.
There was a recent crash in 2020 of a banner plane in 2020 where two lifeguards rescued the pilot. That plane crashed into the ocean. This is a photo of a crash in the bay from perhaps the late 1970’s or maybe the 1980’s.
July 2020 update – Buckalews is offering outside dining in a large tent on Centre Street.
Buckalews restaurant and bar is located in the heart of Beach Haven.
UPDATE 2020 – The Chegg is currently open for takeout and sidewalk dining until indoor dining is reopened in New Jersey
The Chicken or The Egg is a restaurant between second and third streets on the Boulevard. The place is usually packed with people waiting on the sidewalk. The food and service range consistently between great and excellent.
