From 2011, a jet skier is trying to get back to shore before an oncoming storm hits. This one is cutting it a bit close. With the storm this close, lightning is a real danger. (Yes, that includes me taking the photo)
Bay Village has been home to Country Kettle Fudge for decades. You can watch the fudge being made in copper kettles.
Ship Bottom Brewery is located in Bay Village on the second floor. It is in the same location that was home to The Tide Bar in the 1970’s and 1980’s. They offer a tasting room with their locally brewed beer.
Bowker’s South Beach Grill is located in Holgate at the southernmost end of the boulevard
Throughout the summer season and especially in the fall, you can hear the roar of Jersey skiff and Garvey races on on the bay.
I’m not sure how old this photo is. Given the boat in the foreground and condition of the image, I think the photo might have been in the 1950’s.
