A look at Long Beach Island, NJ
(June 2020) Long Beach Township will be lowering speed limits on the ocean roads running parallel to the the boulevard. These roads previously had a strictly enforced speed limit of 25 MPH. The new limit will be 15 MPH
This was most likely taken in the 1950’s, possible around 1956. This is the cove between 16 and 17th streets in North Beach Haven. Residents would moor their boats in the cove.

Bowker’s South Beach Grill is located in Holgate at the southernmost end of the boulevard
(January 2020) Long Beach Township is mailing Re-Entry Placards. These are vital if you want to gain access to the island after a disaster. You should review the mailing address on file for your property and make sure you store the card in a safe place.
It is a little difficult to date this photo. It seems to be from the 1980’s
