A look at Long Beach Island, NJ
The Crystal Queen was a Paddle Boat that offered excursions to Atlantic City. She operated out of the Black Whale docks in Beach Haven. Service stopped some time after 2010.
The LBI Trailer Park was a fixture on Long Beach Island for Decades. It was located in the Holgate/Inlet section and provided some of the most affordable housing on the island. Unfortunately the owners decided to not rebuild after Hurricane Sandy.
We took a sail on New Jersey’s Tall Ship, the A.J. Meerwald in July 2019 from Beach Haven, NJ.
The A.J. Meerwald visited Beach Haven in 2012.
There is a plaque just outside of Viking Village in Barnegat Light memorializing a Massacre of Patriots by British Loyalists during the War for Independence.
The Holiday Snack Bar in Beach Haven was open for outdoor dining and take out as of July 3rd 2020. Seating is limited as is the case for most restaurants.
Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse offers very casual waterfront dining in the heart of Beach Haven
Uncle Wills Pancake House is in the heart of Beach Haven. On most days, especially the weekends, there are lines of people waiting for their pancakes.
The Hudson house is a no-frills local bar located on 13th street between Long Beach Boulevard and North Beach Avenue in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There is very limited parking available. Many visitors walk or bicycle.
