Country Kettle Fudge in Bay Village in Beach Haven.

Bay Village in Beach Haven

Bay Village in Beach Haven is a rustic village of small shops and restaurants. It has been a popular destination for over 50 years.

Bay Village’s origins go back to when the schooner Lucy Evelyn was a popular gift shop. The Lucy Evelyn sat on the south side of Ninth Street where the Schooner’s Wharf is located today.

There are over 20 stores in one square block. These stores offer dining, ice cream, coffee, baked goods, clothes and souvenirs. The village resembles a New England fishing village with cedar shingled buildings and brick walkways.

If you are hungry, Bay Village is a great place to go. Some of the notable establishments are:

  • Bistro 14 – A restaurant with a bit of a view of the bay.
  • Country Kettle Chowda – Enjoy the award winning chowder and bisque in a sourdough bowl if you wish.
  • Country Kettle Fudge – They have been making handmade fudge since 1965. You can watch them make it.
  • The Windmill – Ice cream and Belgian Waffles.
  • Cool Beans Gourmet Coffee – Great coffee and tea
  • The Crust and Crumb Bakery – They are known for their Sticky Buns and Elephant Ears.

There is some seating available throughout the village.  Check their website for current information.

Location

Bay Village is located at 9th and the Boulevard in Beach Haven. Parking can be a challenge at times. There is a large lot by the bay.
